The problems exists only when Mozilla Firefox 2 is immunized also by Spybot 1.6. When I unimmunize it in Spybot then SpywareBlaster 4.1 starts normally and it is not freezing.

Perhaps you could be a little more explicit about what type of "…permanent fix …" you expect.

As far as I can tell the procedure outlined by javacool is a permanent fix. i.e. Undo Spybot's Firefox immunization for "(Popups)" and "(Installations)" and don't use that type of immunization in the future.
