Probs with "Check for Problems"

Hi,
I'm having a few probs when I scan my PC for problems. Once the scan is complete and I have selected the items to be fixed, I click yes then Spybot just shuts down!?!
I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling and downloading/installing updates, but nothing is working. Can anyone help
