I posted an earlier threadhttp://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?t=18283 regarding the problem I was having after updates with not being able to close the update list window without getting a blank white rectangle and a "Program not Responding" pop-up.
I installed v.1.5 again and downloaded the available updates one at a time until I hit the faulty update. I was ablr to successfully download: "Dialers" (2007-07-25), Hijackers (2007-08-29), "Keyloggers" (2007-07-25), "Malware" (2007-09-12), "PUPS" (2007-09-23), "Detection Rules" (2007-05-30), "SpyBots" (2007-09-12) and "Trojans" (2007-09-12). My symptoms returned when I downloaded "Updates" (2007-09-19).
I deleted that file from the program folder, rebooted, and the symptoms cleared up. I then downloaded "English Descriptions" (2007-09-19) and the symptoms returned. Delete and they cleared up. Downloaded "Immunization Database" and they returned until that file was also deleted.
Spybot v.1.5 is currently running correctly, albeit very slowly.
