Question about uninstalling Spybot 1.4

I plan on uninstalling Spybot 1.4 soon, and was going to following these instructions (including running the little registry cleaner file provided at the link at the end) seen here:

But the one thing I'm confused about is that it says to use add/remove programs to do the actual uninstall instead of the "Uninstall Spybot - Search & Destroy" option that is available under Start > All Programs > Spybot - Search & Destroy.

Why is that? And is one better to use than the other?

Either way of uninstalling is fine,so it's your choice whether you uninstall using add/remove programs or uninstall by choosing the uninstall option from Start > All Programs > Spybot - Search & Destroy instead. :)
