Scan stalls at Babylon.Toolbar

Was wondering if someone could help? The Spybot scan is stalling at an address 8AF631D7 saying "Scanning for Babylon.Toolbar". I waited for 11h and it still didn't move beyond that.

I restarted and found the scan starts OK and at about 6 minutes into the scan it picks that address and then stalls.

Much obliged. I checked Windows Registry and there is no "Babylon" there. I uninstalled the Spybot software and reinstalled, restarted laptop and tried again - same thing! Any feedback will be appreciated.

I had the same issue, and I am not sure how I fixed it. I searched the registry and removed everything that contained Babylon. While doing that, I noticed that all the Babylon entries had a URL go.microsoft.com. I after backing up my registry, I deleted many of the go.microsoft.com entries that I could find. I see that some were definitely legit. I strongly recommend that back up your data, make an image of your hard drive, and any other precautions that you can before messing in the registry. I am guessing that you already know that.

I also ran CCLeaner, Custom Clean and Health Check, and Malwarebytes. Eventually, S&D ran as normal. I am running now as I am typing and it still slowed down a bit on Babylon.toolbar, but it continued.
