There is no change that I am aware of. During the running of a Spybot scan ("Check for problems") the status bar in the lower left hand corner of the screen shows the following:
- "Running bot-check(xxxxx/yyyyy:zzzzzz)" where:
- xxxxx = Current check count.
- yyyyy = Total check count.
- zzzzz = Malware check being performed.
Since the zzzzz value it is the malware check being performed by Spybot and there are more checks for certain malwares than others, the zzzzz value may not change for a while. However on my system the xxxxx value continually progresses, although not at a uniform rate, until the xxxxx and yyyyy values are equal when it appears that checks take place for "Internet Explorer –
various - Tracking Cookie" followed by "Internet Explorer –
username - Bookmark". Since I have a lot of bookmarks, the only place during the scan were there is no change to the status bar for a while is when the "Internet Explorer –
username - Bookmark" check is taking place (currently 46+ seconds).
