Scheduled Scan - Runs very slow

I have tried to use the scheduled scan option and when it starts it runs very very slow at least half the speed of a normal scan.

Any ideas of why or what to do?:oops:

Wanted to submit here before requesting formal Support. Further, I did do a 'search' on this and there were NO results found.

Reply to question of other programs

No. I gave up after two try when after two plus hours it was not even 25% completed. I will do a manual scan and time it and post the exect time to complete, in the next day or two. Thank you VERY much for the quick reply.
 
Similar thing

Has been happening to me. A manually started scan takes about 38 minutes to run.

A scheduled scan, with no other programs (other than windows system stuff) running, takes somewhere in the neighborhood of 2.5 hours to run!

Curiously, I had uninstalled a previous version (though I thought it was also 1.6.2) and that scheduled took about 30 minutes to run. I uninstalled it because it never preserved any of my settings.

Also, the scans were both scheduled to start at the same time.


Any advice is appreciated!
