Search capability defect on forum site

Before we can search the site, we are prompted to type in some words to validate that we are human---not a machine.

This rountine is about the most user-unfriendly version of this type of s/w that I've encountered. Not all displayed items are words, as stated--some are numbers; many of the words are often weird, uncommon, or not words at all, some are proper nouns. Some letters are indistinguishable.

Please institute a validation routine that is a little more user-friendly.
 
If you search while logged in,you shouldn't have to type in the words.Should let you search without them.
