Secure Shredder

according to the description from the tools meny in the advanced mode in spybot it securely remove files you no longer want from your harddisk. i have tried it years ago, but dont remember how it works.

You can shred your temporary files with the secure shredder.
Please run Spybot S&D and switch to "Advanced mode" via the menu bar item "Mode".
Now select "Tools" --> "Secure Shredder" in the navigation bar on the left.
There please select "Add files from temp folder" from the drop down menu on the top (hit the small arrow next to templates).
Then "Chop it away!"

Also....the secure shredder

can be used to securely delete files so that they can not be recovered. You may add files as well as delete your temp Internet files, etc. Choose the number of sweeps that it should be deleted (default is 6), the higher the delete counter, the more unlikely it can be recovered. =]
