While scanning, i notice on the bottom it says "344/5035 ___Dialer" or something like that. the "___Dialer" goes through about 100 different names which are obvious viruses. why doesnt it do anything about those?
Skips obvious viruses?

Hello.
I believe you are speaking of the bar showing at the bottom of the Spybot-S&D page when it is scanning.
The malware you see being scanned are the nasties Spybot is searching for, not what is actually on your computer.
Spybot will tell you at the end of the scan if it found anything that might need attention or that was fixed/removed.
An anti-virus program would be your protection against viruses.
