slow scan

i installed todays update 01/05/07
and its taking forever to scan.
so far 10 mins vet little change.
i uninstalled and reinstalled no difference

This might not work,but you could try running a scan in safe mode,and see if Spybot's any faster.
There are instructions for running Spybot in safe mode in the second half of this post,if you need any help:

ok i ran it in safe mode took 10 mins

but up untill this newest update took less than 5 to run

A ten minute scan time doesn't seem too bad,running a scan in normal mode just now took a little over ten minutes for me.How is it when you run a scan in normal mode,does it take a lot longer than ten minutes?

i stoped it at 45 mins

That is quite a long scan time.It's odd that the scan time increased that much after the update.Maybe try temporarily shutting down any non-essential things(if you have any running)when doing a scan with Spybot,and see if that helps the scan time any.Stuff like messenger programs,etc.

i riped every shred of spybot out regestry is spotless, reinstalled and its running 10 mins :laugh:

must been a courupted file
