some programs no longer work
Hello Shaba,
Since we have cleaned out a lot of files, some of my programs do not work or complain of missing files and ask to be reinstalled. MS Word is one of them. I own the original disk for office 97 and will reinstall it but why do you think this happened?
I would also like to ask you about security as an issue. If my son browses the net and watches you tube videos, is it safe to do on line banking? I worry about getting another key logger. I am considering partitioning the C drive so that banking can be done on another drive. If this was done would one partitioned drive be aware/safe from the other. Only one version of XP would be running at one time and if games can be separated from work, would this be a good solution?

Well some viruses may have deleted those. We haven't deleted those during cleaning process.

I'd say that a restricted user account (no admin rights) for son would be even better idea
