Some kind of hidden spyware blocker?

Well, it depends. If you have Spybot-Search&Destroy, then it would be actively blocking (or passively) blocking access to this site. The only reason Spybot would do that is to prevent access to the malicious site.
SpyAxe and SpySherrif are part of the SmitFraud family... notorious for their rogue, malicious software. In other words, they will be installing malware on your machine.
There is no point in going to that malicious (malware/viral infested) site, unless you are purposely infecting your system or just plain "do not know" of that site and what will happen.
