Sorrowfully, the end of a long relationship

Can't remember how long I've used Spybot but it's at least 10 years and I've recommended it to a great many people. However, with this new version and its new interface, I'm done. No problems show up until the bitter end. Then when I click Fix, I can't tell if it fixed anything or not as nothing seems to happen. Having already done a complete scan once with the result that some problems could not be fixed, then another complete scan in Safe Mode, running as Administrator, I don't see why I should have to run it a third time to see if problems were fixed.

Why would you change something that worked so well?

I feel like I've found a friend who I thought was deceased.

What I had, fleetingly, before I uninstalled it, was a version number beginning with 2. I had just downloaded it earlier today and updated it immediately after download, so it was probably the most recent.

Operating System is Windows 7.
