Hi everybody, I have found a version of spy bot portable, 1.6.2.46, and i like to know if it tries to install on C the newer version when I try to update it.

Though the appears to be a way of doing so (there is a post in this forum, as well as at portableapps.com), it was my understanding that Spybot S&D was not designed to run as a portable app. Where did you find it?
At the moment we have to check if the creators haven't change anything security related so that we can allow it.
Apart from that, Spybot-S&D can be easily used with an USB stick, even if the solution is not perfect. Just install it on the PC and then copy the installation folder on the USB stick.
