Spybot 1.5 disables wireless mouse

I have tried to update from Spybot S&D 1.4 to 1.5 twice and both times, after the system is rebooted, my wireless mouse will not work. I have had to run System Restore to get the wireless mouse to work again.

System is Compag Presario SR1620NX
RUnning Microsoft Windows XP Home

Wireless mouse is a MicroInovations PD655P

Is there a was around this bug?

Maybe mouse is disabled.
Go to My Computer>Control Panel>System>Hardware
and select Device Manager.
Do you see any device with exclamation or red X ?
