spybot closes when i start check

HI ive got a big problem with my trusted spybot..

evry time i start a scan it just pauses for 20 seconds or so then for a second i
see a little UNKNOWN thiny at the buttom left corner and spybot closes..

does any body know what i must do? :sad:
