Spybot doesnt run/cant get to spybot website

Hello,

I ran Spybot the other day and when I closed it, it went through a LONG process of unloading from the registry in which it found 3 problems. Something like "AskSbar" or something similar and a couple problems in the Mozilla directory. (I had the AskSbar directory in my program files, and it had one file which I cant remember what it was, not an executable. I deleted the directory and also uninstalled Mozilla.)

I ran Spybot again and got a clean scan. I downloaded a movie which required me to install a license. I was thinking I shouldn't but I did anyway, hoping it was a sincere bit torrent. I have since uninstalled the Movieplay license and erase ALL permissions in my zonealarm firewall.

Now when I start spybot I get the hourglass, but no loading of spybot. It is in the taskbar by the clock, I right click and select Run Spybot and the same thing happens (BASICALLY NOTHING).

I try to go to www.safer-networking.com and NONE of my browsers will go there. I try to ping www.safer-networking.com and get "Ping request could not find host... please check the name and try again"

I went to another computer on my network/satellite internet connection, everything worked GREAT!!!!! I got safer-networking IP address and entered that in MY browser and was able to get to the http://89.238.64.39/en/support/index.html website. I pinged the IP address and was SUCCESSFUL. Tried to ping the host name www.safer-networking.org and got the same error.

I CANT GET TO THE WEBSITE IN ORDER TO RE-INSTALL. The install wants to be online in order to download the files needed.

CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP????
 
Also...

Also, I run Clamwin for Antivirus... did a scan and came up clean.

I can get to every other website I have tried.

Spybot has ALWAYS worked great for me in the past.

I apologize for such a long post but to understand you need details.

So... I'm running windows XP sp2.

I have had the problem of: spybot not loading, not being able to get to the www.safer-networking.org website, and not being able to ping the same website for over 2 days now.

It was just recently I went to the other computer and got the IP address via pinging the host name and used the IP on my web browser to get to this forum. Also, my dns cache has some strange websites I have not went to.

Now, I open the cmd window and ping the website name and get a response. OK, so I reinstall spybot and was successful and restart the computer.

- Spybot still will not run
- I am able to ping the safer networking website and get there via browser.
- my dns cache looks funny.. see below:

These should be the IPs of my satellite assigned DNS servers.
DNS 1: 148.78.249.200
DNS 2: 148.78.249.201

What I have is as follows:

OK... OK.... I just checked my TCP/IP properties on my Local Area Connection and somehow there is manual entries in the DNS. SOMETHING CHANGED IT!!!!

STILL DOESN'T EXPLAIN WHY SPYBOT WILL NOT RUN????

I will fix the dns and see what happens. Anyways, here is a list of the dns cache and none of these sites have I been to. And when I do the ipconfig /displaydns my zonealarm wants me to allow something to the 85.255.112.174 address:
