Spybot free startup status

I have installed Spybot free edition. As there is no real time protection is there a need to have it run at start-up and is it required for immunisation to work?

There for example is a helper (SDCleaner) that will help to clean up malware files after reboot that were unable to be removed while the malware was still running. This might run at startup, and helps there.

The tray icon is something that also runs at startup and is a shortcut to open Spybot some users prefer, but is not necessary just for that.
