Spybot freezes when loading after update

I'm running spybot 1.6.2 on windows me. After updating spybot it freezes/stops responding when loading. After killing it it will work fine on the second or third try. Any ideas what the problem could be?

I use CC and empty temp so everything should be clean. After uninstalling and reinstalling 1.6.2 several times and having the same problem, I fell back to 1.5.2 and haven't had any problems so far. I guess I'll do the same on XP because I'm having the same problem on it as ME.

Hello,

It is not recommendable to run an old software version with new detection patterns. Please upgrade! Or you might harm your pc.
