SpyBot is slower than my crashing computer

When I run full system scan it says it takes 3 days, and every time I try it, my computer blue-screens well before it is done and all scan results to that point are lost. I have tried just doing D drive etc, or just certain files and same result - computer crash comes first and no results saved! This is useless to me, and you need to have checkpoints. My computer must be too corrupted for your software to work, but there must be a more expedient way to find malware!
