Spybot locks during scan

During full system scan S&D locks while testing Zlob.ZipCodec at 4E2AF2AC.

Have run full virus check including boot time scan, all clear, run registry cleaner and tried uninstalling and re-installing S&D but still locks at the same place.

Win 10 and S&D 2.4.40.0

Any suggestions, please?

"Spybot’s system scan freezes at Zlob.ZipCodec
This problem was caused by a minor issue in the Spybot program. We are now providing a small installer that will correct this issue on your PC.

Symptoms:

• The scan proceeds as normal, but will stop progressing at Zlob.ZipCodec and won’t appear to finish.
• The “Settings” button in the Start Center is unresponsive when clicked.

Fix/Solution:

• If you are experiencing this issue, simply download and run this small installer. This installer replaces a file that was identified to cause the issue."

having the same issue..

Do we need to cancel the current scan to run the installer, or can it do its thing while the system scan is still stuck?

Perhaps best to cancel the scan and install the fix but I see you have uninstalled the program. Sorry to hear that.
