spybot is taking about 1 1/2 hours to run! The old version only used to take about 20 mins. Is this general or is there a problem? I'm running window xp pro . Answers in easy English please

The version is 1.5.2
Do I need to update to the new version 1.6? If so do I have to uninstall the old version of spybot?

You can install over the old version.
Please download our current version Spybot - Search & Destroy 1.6. That should fix it.
You will find links to several download locations for this new version on our web site:
http://www.safer-networking.org/en/mirrors/index.html
Please search for new updates after installing Spybot-S&D 1.6.
