Spybot S&D protects mozilla firefox?

Spybot is always monitoring Mozilla Firefox activities like in the IE? Just asking i want to know if im protected using firefox as in IE.
 
Spybot's SDHelper Browser Helper Object (BHO) only works with Internet Explorer. However, Spybot 1.5 has extended its immunization facility to help protect Firefox as well as Internet Explorer.
