Spybot scan "fix Problems" initializes then disappears

I have been using Spybot successfully for almost a year. Now I can immunize and get updates, but when I try to scan for problems the can starts normally, but then the window just disappears with no message. I tried reloading spybot, but that doesn't help. Any help?
