Spybot SD and UAC?

Hello Forum!

My question: Spybot SD is compatible with the UAC of Vista and Win7?
If the UAC is active, I can't immunize my system with Spybot SD. I use Win7 with UAC (level 2 of 4) and the immunization always failed.
I must disable-immunize-later enable.

Hello,

It should work.
Have you opened Spybot with a rightclick and choose run as admin?
Windows Vista/Windows 7 might tell you that you are not being allowed to operate at the administration level of your computer.
You can solve this problem as follows:
Right-click the Spybot - Search & Destroy entry in your start menu,
instead of just left-clicking to start it.
Then, choose Run as administrator from the context menu.

UAC and SPYBOT

Is there any way, short of disabling UAC, to run Spybot in W7 unattended with the
scheduler? So far, I haven't been able to do that. Can you help?

You could try checkmarking Run With Highest Privileges in task scheduler for the Spybot task,and see if that works.
Which version of Spybot do you have?
