Spybot seams to not work for me, what am I doing wrong?

I've been infected with this spyware crap. Every 10 seconds an alert pops up warning of Trojan-Spy.win32@mx. My home page has been hijacked and I can't get it back and a protection bar is on the top of my screen that I can't get rid of. I've down loaded Spybot S&D and ran the check systems which found things like PestTrap, PestTrap, Zlob, SpyHeal, etc. I run the "Fix it" and Spybot says it's fixed, the reports say they are fixed but everything is still there. The home page is still hijacked, the protection bar won't go away and the warning of Trojan-Spy.win32@mx. still pops up and woun't let be get rid of it. I've ran Spybot 3 times and each time it finds the same things, fixes the same things yet noting changes. Please help. Thank you

Please download the latest detection update (2006/12/01):

This should fix it.

If this does not help please send us a complete bug report. In order to do so, please run Spybot-S&D, let it scan, try to fix the problems (!) and then go to "Tools" --> "View Report". Tick all the 10 checkboxes (leave "Do not report disabled or known legitimate items" unchecked) you can find there and click on "View Report". Now choose "Export" and save the file to your desktop. Please attach this file to your email and send it again to detections(#at)spybot.info.

Just an expansion on this, please download spyware blaster from Javacool.

This will protect your homepage, and actually prevent spyware being downloaded in the first place. It is similar to spybot's tea timer, but works in the background. A great product.

Sandra I've done what you ask. It still has the same issues. The email addres you gave me does not work so I can't send the report. I did put the @ in and it still did not work. My computer is being eatin up by the spyware stuff. I'm afraid to even get on-line to get you help
