spybot shuts down in the middle of a scan

Hi all:

I have been using spybot search and destroy with no problems until about 2 months ago when my computer started to shut down when I tried to run it. I have tried updating all the downloads, but I can't get a full scan done.

I have a notification on my computer that I do not have genuine xp, and wonder if this is the reason.

Anybody have any ideas as to what I can do.

Is Windows giving that notification?

One can check for validation, have you tried to do so?
