Spybot takes a full minute to load

Not sure what is happening, installed 1.5. When i click on the desktop icon the HDD makes a couple of quick sounds, kind of clickbzzt. The hourglass cursor turns back to normal about a minute later spybot starts.
everything else in the system loads fine. I have uninstalled spybit, cleaned the registry and reinstalled and it behaves the same way..i did get an windows error report once that looked like this..

I see in the "recommend 1.5 to friend" thread the start up time is known, what.where is the Halloween edition?

We already have located the startup problems in Spybot S&D version 1.5 and fixed it.

After cleaning the viruses off my computer i decided to update to the beta version of spybot, which supposedly improves the startup time. Spybot is still taking a long time to load (i am running version 1.5.1.18) ...is this normal?
