SpyBot v1.6 and Resident Scans

v1.6 has a new feature: Resident Scans. With this feature, SpyBot scans each new process for malware. Unfortunately, this makes process invocation extremely slow; and, it is silly, when running the same (trusted) process over and over.

Is there a way to disable Resident Scans? If not, I'll have to kiss SpyBot goodbye, since the performance impact is too severe to live with.

Even if you can't live with "performance impact" of TeaTimer and its "Resident Scans" there is no reason to "kiss SpyBot goodbye".

To disable TeaTimer:

• Go into Spybot > Mode > Advanced Mode > Tools > Resident.
• Uncheck the following:
  • Resident "TeaTimer" (Protection of over-all system settings) Active.
