spybot won't update

Hi there
My spybot won't update. If scans are run it comes up with files that can't fixed but may be fixed on a restart. The restart does not have an effect. The files that come up are: Toolbar.MySearchDial and Montera.Toolbar and BrowseFox. What do I do? thanks

while a few of the updates eventually went through, according to my Update Log, no matter how many times I have tried to update, the status doesn't change. The entries below have been identical for the last five attempts:

Alidacat,I'm getting an error when updating antispyware updates,and my updates logfile is similar to yours,so I plan to wait it out,somebody from Spybot will probably fix it sooner or later,if there's something wrong. :)

Which version of Spybot do you have?Is the Spybot scan not running when you restart?Or,is the Spybot scan running when you restart,and finding the same Toolbar.MySearchDial and Montera.Toolbar and BrowseFox each time? :)

Same with me, stuck on update, You can see in the logs that Spybot tries to get "PosOS.sbs", waits for 14 minutes(!) and then goes on...just to get stuck on again on "File "PUPS-002.sbi"

Wonder why Spybot would choose to post and respond on their Facebook page and not in their own help forum??? :scratch: I would never have thought to look there. I see that there are now several threads posted HERE about this issue. Is this forum no longer to be the primary place to receive help and answers?

The Facebook page looks like it's mostly an "announcing things" platform,same as they might post info on their website.A lot of people would look on Facebook,so it makes sense to have a Spybot page,and twitter page.
It's always good to find help and answers here,and then there is software support offered on the Spybot website,too.The more different ways there are to find out info or get help,the better. :)

That may be the case, but most people with issues and concerns would look to this help forum, not to Facebook.

Of course it is beneficial to have different ways to get info or help, but providing an "announcement" and help on a Facebook page while ignoring posts, questions and concerns and not providing the same information and assistance in the program's OWN HELP FORUM is not only disappointing, it makes no sense

Maybe a fix?

Hi guys...I don't know if you're still having this issue. This happened to me today and I did something that fixed it. While the updates were still running and it was stuck updating this Trojan-C.sbi, I hit Update again while it was stuck and it worked and updated it. I don't know if it was just luck and they had cleared this up but I restarted it twice before this and had been waiting for about 20 minutes. Please let me know if it works for you. Thanks and good luck. :cool:
