I know the history with spyhunter vs spybot but it is not malware and should not be classified as malware.

Also Spyhunters website is not malicious and should not be immunized by spybot.

Please leave the personal vendetta stuff out of malware detection, my pc is not a battle ground for this kind of stuff.

I suggest that you read the criteria to be listed
not just malware and spyware is included but ad-ware and deceptive practices including deceptive practices by affiliates
You and I do not make the rules
I am not happy about a detection today either but will abide by the decision of the review board
What makes you think you need spybot anyway ?
Have you tried ad-aware or xsoftspy or spyware xterminator?
Actually I suggest XP2009 anti virus
have a nice day

Yep you are right I'm done with spybot, I have been using it for years but the recent actions taken by the program to add enigma's site to my host file as a local host was the last straw. I put up with it detecting spyhunter as malware because I could just uncheck the box.

Like it or not I paid money for spyhunter and am satisfied with the product so I was more than a little pissed when spybot immunized spythuners websites breaking the ability to update the spyhunter program.

Luckily I know even about pc's to have figured out it was spybot that caused all this.

What in the future is going to prevent spybot from blocking other usefull websites or their competition?

1. Investigations of Spyhunter Version 3.9.25 of 18-03-2009 show,
that the software does not comply with the ASCs
(http://www.antispywarecoalition.org) definitions for
classification as malware or spyware.

2. Safer-Networking Ltd. will not give subsequent reviews of older
versions of Spyhunter.

3. Questions about data transfered to the web by Spyhunter should be
addressed to Enigma.

4. If you suspect Spyhunter (later than 3.9.25 of 18-03-2009) of
complying with ASCs definitons for classification as malware,
please send your information to detections@spybot.info
