I get the window upon start up...." can not find 'file:///' make sure path or internet address is correct." Other than making my computer turn off and on in stand by mode there is not a dire problem. I just close it and go on my way when in use. It is a bit annoying and we all like to have clean machines don't we? I've tried to search and delete. Have a fear that McAfee may be 'protecting' the problem in registry. Any thoughts?

Download DDS and save it to your desktop from here or here or here.
Disable any script blocker, and then double click dds.scr to run the tool.
Download GMER here by clicking download exe -button and then saving it your desktop:

- When done, DDS will open two (2) logs:
- DDS.txt
- Attach.txt
- Save both reports to your desktop. Post them back to your topic.

- Click rootkit-tab and then scan.
- Don't check
Show All
box while scanning in progress! - When scanning is ready, click Copy.
- This copies log to clipboard
