Task Manager Disabled!

Friends,

I am using HP Pavilion DV4 notebook PC with windows Vista Home Premium. Yesterday I found that task manager is disabled & I can't run regedit. Also, folder options in control is inaccessible because of which i caan not view hidden files.

I am using Mcafee Internet security but could not detect anything wrong. Moreover, when I used Windows Defender it also it did not find anything wrong with my system. I went through its software explorer option & found follwing 3 unidentified applications running on my PC:

1. C:/Windows/system32/bad1.exe;
2. C:/Windows/system32/bad2.exe &
3. C:/Windows/system32/bad3.exe.

The publisher for these files is unknown & are also not digitally signed. Are these applications creating problem for my PC? Please help to resolve my problems.

Please see this forum's FAQ which details how to produce a HJT log, "BEFORE you POST"(READ this Procedure BEFORE Requesting Assistance)
Copy paste it into a new topic and provide a link back to this one.

If HJT won't run please start a new topic anyway, make note of the situation and and a volunteer analyst will advise you when available.
