Tea Timer freezes on shutdown

About 2 weeks ago Tea Timer suddenly refused to terminate when I shut down my PC. I'm using Spybot version 1.5.2.20, with windows xp. It's very annoying. The only way I can shut down completely is by ending spybot with windows task manager. Any clues greatly appreciated.
