TeaTimer will not shut down except manually

I have had Spybot S&D for years, but this is a recent problem. When I shut down the computer, the shut-down is delayed by TeaTimer not closing. I get the slow progress bar in an attempt to close TeaTimer, but in the end, I always get "program not responding" and must click "end now". Thank you for your advice on my next step.

snyders:

What version of Spybot - Search & Destroy and System settings protector (TeaTimer) are you running?

To determine that:
  • Right click on the TeaTimer icon (actually labeled "Spybot-SD Resident") in the notification area (system tray area) of the taskbar.
  • Select "About".
  • This should yield a pop-up dialog with both the version of Spybot - Search & Destroy and the "System settings protector" (TeaTimer).

Please hold off in downloading a replacement for TeaTimer until you have answered the questions above.

User 129260 pointed to a thread where drragostea pointed to a post by spybotsandra. The download URL "here" posted by spybotsandra appears to be for TeaTimer 1.6.2.0.

The latest version of TeaTimer seems to be 1.6.3.25 which can be downloaded via the Spybot's integrated updater.

1.5.2.20

Too late; I already downloaded and installed the teatimer162 a few hours ago. As you apparently guessed, this move was ineffectual.

Should I now use the Spybot's integrated updater,
or should I completely uninstall all of Spybot/teatimer, redownload the program, and reinstall?

Also

I download updates 1-2 times/week.

was how I downloaded teatimer 162, and

I have not been able to figure out how to access "1.6.3.25 which can be downloaded via the Spybot's integrated updater." I tried by clicking "update" on the Spybot S&D main menu, and I tried "update spybot S&D" in the "programs" menu of the start button.

I'm sorry

@ snyders sorry i provided the wrong information...i thought that was the newest info on this problem...

@spybot fan: thanks for correcting me, i will now know that the latest version is offered through the integrated updater. So i am correct that now this issue is resolved now for users if they use the integrated update function to update teatimer?
