Temporarily Disable Spybot

I am trying to update my carbonite backup and it says that spybot will interfere. I dont see a way to temporarily disable spybot. Can anyone tell me how to do this?

The Carbonite backup software will not interfere with Spybot, as much as they are saying it will.

The only thing that is "active" from Spybot would be TeaTimer (resident shield). You can always disable it on your windows taskbar (right side, bottom corner, where clock is). You should find the icon, right click it, and close it.
