Temporary files offer disappears

the dialog box offering to delete temporary files (after I manually start a scan) only flashes onscreen for a tiny fraction of a second.

The Setting is checked to "Offer to clean the temporary files folder". I also have updates/scans schedules with Spybot 1.6.2.46

any clues, please?

I did recall I saw the prompt popping up for a mere second and disappearing. This is normal because Spybot checks in the Windows Temp. folder and if there are more than 100 files, it'll prompt you. If not (like 99 files), it won't. The whole goal of this prompt is to remove useless data in the folder and speed up scan times.
