too many clicks.....

Hi All,

I love SB but with my most recent use of it I now have a problem. That is, nearly every time I surf to another site, particularly when reading my Yahoo Mail, I always get a box saying that SB has determined that the URL is 'malicious'. This is no big deal but it's almost always the same site: ad.yieldmanager.com and I have no choice but to "deny" anyway. So why do I hve to constantly click on the box if its always the same site AND I have no choice but to click on the deny anyway? The other choice is grayed out so it just means another click and my index finger is really getting tired just from trying to view my mail.

Hello,

Doubleclick (and others like Advertising.com, Avenue A, Inc, CasaleMedia, Fastclick, Hitbox, Mediaplex etc.) are so-called tracking cookies. It is quite common for popular websites to employ such tracking cookies from third parties. They use them in order to track the users' surfing habits on their websites. As I said, these cookies are from third parties but they are employed by the site. There is a tool in Spybot-S&D: BrowserHelper, i.e. a bad download blocker for Internet Explorer. With this tool enabled such tracking cookies will be blocked.

Please run Spybot-S&D and go to the "Tools"->"Resident" page. Checking the checkbox in front of SDHelper enables the BrowserHelper.
By unticking that checkbox you disable it.

If you open the Tools menu in your Internet Explorer and choose 'Spybot - Search Destroy Configuration', you will find a drop down menu which will appear giving you some options.

Hi Sandra. I'm having the same issue. I use the "always do the same thing" choice, but it keeps coming back. Suggestions? Thanks!

AFlowers:

There is a problem with the implementation of "Always react this way" with both the "Allow" and "Deny". SDHelper stores the entire URL not just the domain. Because of this are likely have to respond to many URLs from the same domain. The problem has been recognized but has not been corrected yet:
