Uknown virus

I have a trojan on my computer that is inhibiting me from accessing a program. Norton, in its ridiculousness, doesn't give specifics on it, and spybot, despite the fact that it works better than Norton, isn't coming up with anything on my computer at all. What do I need to do to figure this out?
