Unable to get rid of spyware malware

I got hit with some kind of spyware or virus. Like now I just got a pop-up that said I was not prptected against Spybot@MXt . I get other pop-ups that tell me I'm infected malware or some other dam thing and of course if I click here they will sell me the program to fix it. I've tried upd
grading my Spybot and update it. I've run it three or four times but still has not gotten rid of the problem HELP!!!!!
