Understanding Spybot S&D log files

After some web searching, I found the log files in "C:/Documents and Settings/All Users/Application Data/Spybot - Search & Destroy/Logs".
  1. The file "Update downloads.log" seems pretty clear
  2. The file "Checks.110225-0131.log" captures when the scan started, even though the file itself is timestamped according to the time of the scan's completion
  3. The files "Checks.110225-0151.txt" and "Fixes.110225-0151.txt" are identical. Both files are timestamped according to the scan's completion time.
Why are there two files that contain the same information?
