uninstall question

I'm trying to uninstall S&D but Add/Remove gives me the error msg that "unins000.dat" is missing. I've looked at the FAQ #27

and followed the link to "this very small fix"

but I'm not sure what is meant by "execute it".

Am I supposed to edit the registry to what is shown on that page?

Or - can I re-install S&D over the top of the exisiting app and hope the re-install gives me the file unins000.dat back - and then be able to uninstall via Add/Remove?

You have to right-click on the "small fix" and "save link to..." -> e.g. desktop
Then an executable .reg-file will appear on your desktop. Then execute it.
It is recommended to uninstall the old version at first as some persons reported about problems after simply installing the new version over the old one.
