uninstall

My uninstall string is wrong(or however I should say it)-


Location: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Spybot - Search & Destroy_is1
Filename: "C:\Spybot - Search & Destroy\unins000.exe"
Data:
and I checked and it won't uninstall.
I'm not sure how long its been like that.
Thought I'd put this here as a tell someone kind of thing,in case people started showing up with uninstall problems(unless I'm the only one it happened too,that is.)
Mine is located at the default location:C\Program Files\Spybot - Search & Destroy\unins000.exe

Actually,all the values have C:\Spybot - Search & Destroy in there.I don't ever remember having it installed at C,though.
And my unins000.dat is missing.

How do you fix missing unins000.dat?

I cannot uninstall my spybot 1.4 V. Needed it temporally uninstalled and it will not uninstall - all get is the unins000.dat error message!!!

Please help!? What to do...

You could try removing it manually,then redownload and reinstall.

p.s.-If you decide to remove it manually,if you use teatimer,you might want to exit teatimer first(rightclick teatimer and select Exit Spybot-S&D Resident.)
And then you might want to go to mode-advanced mode-tools-resident,and uncheck Resident SD helper(if you use it).

I vaguely remember something being in use when I removed it because I forgot something,but I can't quite remember what(SD helper,I think),that's why I mentioned the above.
