Sorry it took me a while to get back here to post this. the original topic http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?p=364880 is closed, but I wanted to let people know what I discovered in case they have the same problem and maybe this will be helpful to them.
I have a Motorola cell phone and Motorola Tools is installed on my computer. There was a process that was running at start up for this program that was causing the problem in Spybot S&D. Once I disabled this process, I had no further open port results. :bigthumb:
