Updater is corrupted

On windows startup I get a message about how my SD Updater is corrupted and I need to download the Updater file.
I have been looking through the site and the 5 latest pages of the forums but cannot find this file.:sad:

Can anyone tell me where to look, or post a link perhaps?

What version of Windows do you have, and what version of Spybot?
Have you recently updated the program itself, and if so did you uninstall the previous version first, or install the new version over the top of the old?

The current Detection update file can be obtained from http://www.spybot.info/en/download/index.html

The current version of the SpybotSD program can be downloaded from any of the sites in http://www.spybot.info/en/mirrors/index.html

I run WinXP home SP2
At first I installed Spybot 1.6.'something' on top of the older version. Later I wasn't really sure which was which, so I uninstalled both.

I got the typical 'you have to reboot to complete uninstall' message. After rebooting I hoped both versions would be uninstalled so I could start over and do it right.

Version 1.6 was however still installed and was still working like a charm, at least for a week or so.
After that week I started to get the errormessages about the updater (and about Blindman.exe which had to be replaced by using the updater)

I am concerned that some sort of malicious software is 'destroying' my Spybot program, like what happened a few years ago on a different machine.
(I got a message about how the program was externally changed and how I should scan my PC, during which it would crash)

Would completely uninstalling and re-installing the version on the link you gave me be enough to solve the problem?
