Is there a thread or link to a good user guide for Spy Bot? I know there is a help guide in the actual program but is there one available to read before download? I have searched the forum and didn't find one. I have googled it also and there are some basic how to guides for install.

Yes I am aware of those and have read them, thanks. In the actual Spybot program there is a help file. I was wondering if that is available or can I only read it by down loading and installing the program?

The help file is not normally available outside of Spybot. But here is how you can get a copy.

English help file from Spybot 1.4:

• Download the following file:
  • http://www.spybotupdates.biz/updates/files/help.english.zip
• Unzip (extract) the help.english.zip file.
• Double click on the extracted English.chm file (chm = Compiled HTML Help file).
