* IMPORTANT !!! Save ComboFix.exe to your Desktop

  • Disable your AntiVirus and AntiSpyware applications, usually via a right click on the System Tray icon. They may otherwise interfere with our tools
  • Double click on ComboFix.exe & follow the prompts.
  • As part of it's process, ComboFix will check to see if the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console is installed. With malware infections being as they are today, it's strongly recommended to have this pre-installed on your machine before doing any malware removal. It will allow you to boot up into a special recovery/repair mode that will allow us to more easily help you should your computer have a problem after an attempted removal of malware.
  • Follow the prompts to allow ComboFix to download and install the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console, and when prompted, agree to the End-User License Agreement to install the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console.

**Please note: If the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console is already installed, ComboFix will continue it's malware removal procedures.

Please go to Kaspersky website and perform an online antivirus scan.

Note: If you are using Windows Vista, open your browser by right-clicking on its icon and select 'Run as administrator' to perform this scan.

  1. Read through the requirements and privacy statement and click on Accept button.
  2. It will start downloading and installing the scanner and virus definitions. You will be prompted to install an application from Kaspersky. Click Run.
  3. When the downloads have finished, click on Settings.
  4. Make sure these boxes are checked (ticked). If they are not, please tick them and click on the Save button:
    • Spyware, Adware, Dialers, and other potentially dangerous programs
      Archives
  5. Click on My Computer under Scan.
  6. Once the scan is complete, it will display the results. Click on View Scan Report.

Problems.

I was about an hour into the scan and only about 26% was done before my internet explorer just dissappeared (closed). So I guess I will try running it again to see if I can get that information. :(

Well it closed again, this time I'm not sure at what percent it was but I did happen to see it had 2 threat names and 2 infected objects. :/ I guess I will try it again. :lip:
 
I don't think this one is going to work. My internet explorer closed yet again. It doesn't give an error or anything it just kind of dissappears. :/

Then try this instead, please:

Please go to Eset website to perform an online scan. Please use Internet Explorer as it uses ActiveX.

  1. Check (tick) this box: YES, I accept the Terms of Use.
  2. Click on the Start button next to it.
  3. When prompted to run ActiveX. click Yes.
  4. You will be asked to install an ActiveX. Click Install.
  5. Once installed, the scanner will be initialized.
  6. After the scanner is initialized, click Start.
  7. Uncheck (untick) Remove found threats box.
  8. Check (tick) Scan unwanted applications.
  9. Click on Scan.
  10. It will start scanning. Please be patient.
  11. Once the scan is done, you will find a log in C:\Program Files\esetonlinescanner\log.txt. Please post this log in your next reply.
 
Update.

Just wanted to let you know that I am currently running the ESET Online Antivirus. So far its been an hour and twenty-five minutes, and well I guess I must have many files cause the bar seems to be at about a little more then halfway. I'll upload that log as soon as it's done. I did as instructed and I suppose everything is working fine right now? Am I suppose to run another scan? I just finished updating spybot and am running that... Is that a bad idea?
 
Scans.

So I finished the spybot scan and it showed one entry of vitumonde and 'right' media... I had it fix it and then restarted the computer ran that again and it was clean, then went ahead and ran Kaspersky again and that was clean, and I just ran spybot once more and it had 'right' media which I had it clean but other then that I think Virtumonde is gone...
