Virus doesn't allow programs to open

My computer was attacked by a virus. I ran spybot and it found a couple of problems and solved them. The next morning, another virus attacked and now does not allow any program to be opened including firefox, explorer, chrome, word, or anything. Please help. I posted a thread four days ago concerning the same virus but did not receive any help.
