wdmaud - google redirect virus + no audio on computer

Hi.
I have been trying to fix a problem for the better part of the day and I am very frustrated.

I have TWO wdmaud files (one is device driver-11.5KB, one is systems file 81.1KB). I think the systems file is not supposed to be there. I think it is
1. causing my google searches to be redirected very frequently to sketchy sites. it is VERY annoying.
2. it has disabled my audio. - itunes, youtube etc. I have no audio. - "no audio device".

Everytime I try to delete it, it creates another one immediately in windows/system32/drivers.
I have windows xp.
I have run several programs to try to diagnose and fix the problem including malwarebytes and super anti-spyware.

here is my "hijack this" output:

Why do you think "wdmaud" is malware ? wdmaud.drv is legitimate Windows file

1 - download and run RSIT

  • Download random's system information tool (RSIT) by random/random from here and save it to your desktop.
  • Double click on RSIT.exe to run RSIT.
  • Click Continue at the disclaimer screen.
  • Once it has finished, two logs will open. Please post the contents of both log.txt<- (will be maximized) and info.txt<- (will be minimized)

2 - Status Check
Please reply with

1.the logs from RSIT (log.txt ,info.txt)

Thanks peku006
